My nimh 1500mah battery is being eaten alive by my new SHS neo motor after 300 shots it loses 40% of it ROF. i used to be able to fire 1200 rounds until my battery died. This sucks... What are my options?

Well i thought about it. my rof drop overnight. so i checked my internals and my mosfet design, after hours of banging my head i looked over at my mini tayimi conector...... it was defored and looked like it was hit by a car. (melted) is this my problem?

im burning out my 30amp fuses. and my mosfets. and melting wiring. my motor intenal winding is like 18 gauge and my wiring is 16 gauge. should i replace my wiring with 14 gauge and have no fuse and make my mosfet system into an high amp one? i can overhal my system and put a 12 gauge around quad mosfet with heatsink. the motor is runing cool but my battery heats up

Are you using a smart charger to charge your battery?

Are your gears shimmed properly?
(How you know) You wont hear a pulling noise.. if you do the friction of the gears will kill your mosfet and your battery.

Is motor height correct?
(How you know you did it right?) The grip wont be hot and the noise of the motor wont be soo high pitched.

Worse comes to worse take it into taa and pay them $40 to shim, lube and adjust your motor height and gears.

I am using a smart charger. My gears are shimed pefectly and spin with low to none resistence (used finger to spin it and to tune) I dont hear my motor much at all as i tuned the motor pitch but it could be off a bit. And i took it apart to try to find why and i found my tappit pull pin (super shooter brand) had sheard off and got in the way a bit as well as the remaining part of the pin still caught on and pulled the tappit plate. So i have poped out the remaining pin and drilled a bigger hole and placed a new pin to hold a tappit chip im still working on. then i take i have to balence my sector gear again :/

your battery could simply be a lemon (a bad battery), or it is nearing the end of its life.  If it is a NiMh type battery then the heat that is created when charging the battery could be greater than normal, thus changing the chemical compound from NiMh to some other uselss chemical (rendering it useless).

your motor windings should be perfectly fine and they tend to run in the 22-24 gauged range (allows for more windings).  Your current wire guage is perfectly fine and would not cause the dying battery.  My suggestion would be to try numerous batteries and to 100% make sure your shimming isnt too tight.
