Just played for my first time at the Arena and had a blast. Now I want to skip PB and buy a new gun. Hopefully you experienced players will lend me some advice ;-)

Welcome to the forums and glad you had fun at TAA!

1.) If you liked it a lot and are considering coming back, I would definitely invest in buying a gun/gear.

2.) If you need help, ask specific questions.

3.) When playing: Move up, move up, move up! If you're going to play airsoft, you can't be afraid to get shot.

There is so much more, but you have to gain this information by experience, I hope this helped some. Feel free to ask me any question you like. Once again, welcome. :)

Thanks peeps and trust me I'm not afraid of getting shot. My next move is to get a CQB gun. I like the pistols but I was told on full auto it tends to wear and tear on pistols and they break down frequently. So I'm shopping for a small hand held auto assalt riffle then I should be good to go :-)

There's not many full-auto pistols though, and any pistol regardless of firing modes should just be maintained for longevity.  In theory a pistol capable of full-auto fire may seem to experience wear faster because it "cycles" more, but you definitely see people shooting their semi's a lot.

Also I just realized you said handheld assault rifle...there really isn't a such thing.  The closest you'll come to that would be a short M4 variant or an AK Beta.

Anything else of a "handheld" size would be an SMG type of weapon in which you could look toward an MP5 or MP5K, P90, MAC-11, MP9, FPG, MP7, Skorpion.

For anything kind of compact in general, you also have other M4 variants, AK variants, a few other carbines, pistols, and some shotguns.

300 FPS w/ .25g BBs = 334 FPS w/ .2g BBs.

I only say this because probably almost every online airsoft store measures their FPS with .2g BBs, keep in mind however, barrel length also comes into play (usually if it is just unusually short or long - that's what she said). Just some food for thought. :)
