Member Posts: 111 | Is the G&G Armament GR4 G26 worth the money? Ever since theyve been "Innovative" Things have been goin down but im kinda into this one. Is it TAA Legal? (Looked on 10 different websites and some say 300 with .2s and some say 360 with .2s) And there was some rumors that the fuse is not that good and the wires are not good quality. Help me out please!

I just ordered a tan one last week from evike. When it arrived it was not working. I hooked up my battery and got nothing. Not a click, not a sound. I am sending mine back to have it replaced or fixed. I don't know if this helps you out any, just thought I'd post incase it helps you decide.

Hm well, I half-expect that from Evike. I don't know if a "lemon" can tell you about the gun's performance. I will try to watch some video reviews later to get some better opinions on the GR4, but it looks to me like basically a Combat Machine M4 with imitation Magpul furniture with random little additions. So expect Combat Machine performance, which is decent.

Member Posts: 111 | I did look at some reviews but all of them were amature airsofters (like myself) talking about exterior. I need INTERIOR DETAILS and since there are a lot of professional end players here, i just thought that i could get a good insiders look, because evike just tries to promote it...

Alberty has already covered the quality of the internals. AEG brands tend to be consistent within certain maufacturers (i.e. Tokyo Marui, Echo1, G&G). So being a G&G gun, the internals should be fairly well built. What you have read about fuses and bad wiring would be the result of a fuse bursting from being a weak fuse. To solve that minor issue, get a stronger fuse or by-pass the fuse (touch the fuse connectors together). As always, lemons happen and you can always send it back if it doesnt function.

Member Posts: 53 | Alberty, since you apparently have something against pretty much every mainstream airsoft store, who do you buy from?

I do not have something against every mainstream airsoft store. Over time I have bought items from TAA, Evike, Airsoft GI, EhobbyAsia, eBay, and members of several airsoft-related forums such as this one. If you have browsed several airsoft forums, talked with other airsofters, and made a few orders from yourself, over a long period of time you will hear about plenty of bad experiences with Evike. Yes, there are much more good experiences to be heard than bad ones, but I can name some specific cases of bad stories from people I know who have ordered online with Evike--"sudden" backorders, "pre-orders" that you might never see, missing parts, or "lemons". That is why I said "half-expect". I am not trying to slander Evike here. There's also the thing I don't like about Evike branding everything as "Matrix brand", but that's just personal and it is their right to do so. I have also heard about a handful of issues with Airsoft GI and Airsoft Extreme to be fair.

Oh I forgot I've ordered from ebairsoft once as well. Packaging was bad although obviously the price was good. And what defines a mainstream airsoft store anyways? I would only think of Airsoft GI and Evike in that case as they're probably the two most popular airsoft retailers online. Possibly Ehobbyasia but not as much since they're overseas. Regardless of any retailer's reputation, a lemon is a lemon.

Alberty is one of the few people who's advice I'd actually listen to in regards to online stores. He's shopped pretty much everywhere and has more experience (good and bad) with these sites. As far as the "mainstream" sites, I've never heard him ever try to slander them, merely give his opinion based on his own personal experience as well as the experience of others. So instead of coming on here side-tracking from the OP's question, let's get back on topic.

Member Posts: 53 | As far as "mainstream" airsoft retailers, I meant the bigger and more popular ones, such as Evike, ASGI, Airsplat, and Redwolf. Also, I myself am well aware of the problems people have had with evike, a few of my friends have had problems with them and will never buy from them again, however swear by Airsplat. In my opinion, however big airsplat may be, I think they're a shady company. Every time I have purchased from them, there have been items taken out of the items I have ordered, as well as inaccurate descriptions of guns and parts. For example, the G&P MOE carbine I ordered was supposed to come with a metal flash hider and an adapter ( my gun in clockwise threaded) however, both parts were missing from the box. I assumed they were sold for extra profit. However, I do apologize for my previous post, it was ignorant of me. I guess what retailer you think most highly of is just really personal experience and opinion.

Yep, I have also heard some bad things from some people who have ordered from Airsplat. Again, every retailer has good and bad orders, some more or less than others have. You don't need to be afraid of all these retailers all of a sudden, but remember that they are not perfect either. Maybe your order is fine or maybe it goes wrong. --> Now back on topic, I've seen a few people using the G&G GR6 at TAA during the last few times I was there. They didn't seem much different than previously-existing Combat Machines to me, which is good meaning that G&G has been keeping consistent with factory quality. I have not used or owned the G26 myself, but if you like the well-known quality of Combat Machines (which I have owned myself) mixed with G&G's new imitation Magpul furniture, it should be a decent purchase. Don't forget, you can replace some or all of those externals if you don't like the look--it still is a Combat Machine.

Member Posts: 53 | I too have handled combat machines, they're very nice guns for the price. Given that I have a real G&P magpul carbine, I think the fake furniture looks ridiculous, and you would be better off buying a normal combat machine, then either putting knock off magpul furniture that looks like the real thing on the replica, or getting legit Magpul PTS gear. But then again, it is only my opinion.

Member Posts: 111 | Well, i got one, and i am not experiencing any problems. In fact, i lent it to my friend and he LOVED it. I just nee a bottom rail. Any ideas where to find them? TAA hopefully? And i am pretty sure that this is a MOE knockoff with their own additions.

Yes it is all MOE imitation.
I don't know if the front assembly is standard or not on the G26--you might end up needing a whole new front assembly.
I don't think MOE rails or the MVG would fit the handguard since it's only an imitation of MOE, who knows?
