just wanted to know what you guys think... i have an ares m4 (new version) and i want to make it shoot better for field... i want it to be a DMR so i was thinking tightbore, and maybe new gears and piston head/piston though i have a VFC in there already, but this is my first time experimenting with internals so i wanted your oppinions, i just wanted to have good trigger responce and a high fps (and have it be reliable), maybe some new shims or whatever i really dont know thats why im asking. thanks

For a DMR the ares m4 has perfect fps, you might just want to increase barrel length and at the same time get a tightbore, as of ROF just get a proper shim job i dont think new gears are neccesary, if thats not enough then i reccomend you get a new motor and possibly a mosfet

I run an ares m4.  The gears just need to be shimmed and aoe could be fixed.  Mine shoots perfectly at 420fps.

Trigger response is the best on ares due to their trigger mosfet in the gearbox.  To increase this response, run a lipo on it (beware tho, lipos can increase the "wear-and-tear" and gears will last longer if precisely shimmed).
