The ruling out of Chinese guns really limits you, while some brands of China Clones are poo. most are getting quite good.

I know you said m4, but the Robinson Arms/Echo 1 XCR is just a great gun. This is not my listing, but it seems like a great deal. I would buy it if I did'nt have my kwa, I almost wish I had the xcr and not my kwa know. Less than 2hr left, so if you want it for a good price, here is a chance. hope this helps

Moderator Posts: 257 | How can you recommend a gun that you don't or have ever owned? You basing that on the way the gun looks. The XCR isn't an m4 its based closer to the feel and set up of an AK even if it does run m4 magazines

Hm, I would say in terms of "feel" for airsoft, the XCR would be closer to an M4--pistol grip, stock positioning, upper receiver/rails, AR mags, left-side selector switch and mag release... For its internal system for real steel, we know it's AK-variant-based.

Whoa. Are you suggesting that people only recommend guns that they have owned/played with/handled/seen in real life/smelled? Surely you jest! That would mean that 99.9% of people here wouldn't be able to make their ill-informed suggestions on things that they have absolutely no clue about! What an insane idea!

I handling the XCR I would say it doesnt feel like an m4 the grip is slighty off and it doesnt cheek like an m4 And Cheese I know its crazy to think that a 13 year old (or Jon Cheng) looking around the interwebz prolly cant give the best advice on a gun.

What you want then is a Full Metal G&G (not Combat Machine which are lower grade). G&G's are made in Taiwan and they are very nice guns. I have had a couple and worked on quite a few. I recommend the G&G GR16 RIS Commando. Very good gun for the money. VFC also makes nice M4's, as does KWA - all made in Taiwan. VFC and KWA have nicer externals, while the higher end G&G's have nicer internals. I am my team's designated mechanic - of all the guns I've repaired or upgraded, G&G has given me the least amount of trouble.

Try coming into TAA and checking out the guns we have. Where they are made really does not play into the quality and how long they last. Just look towards guns that have what you are interested in and do research on them.

These "which gun is better?!" threads are so full of herp derp that it hurts my brain to even skim the surface of them. Look, folks. Google is your friend. Check it out. If you're not satisfied with Google's results, come in to TAA and look at them in person. If in the event that you don't like anything we have on the wall, then the staff is more than willing to advise you on what to get. [edit] Oh oops, Byrd already said that. Sorry that I'm not sorry, though.
