Hey guys, my original airsoft team in Indiana consisted of many experienced military operators.

- Current Major in US Army Rangers/Pathfinder

- Former Marine Corps enlisted infantry, US Army ERT/K-9 dog handler

- Marine Force Recon MARSOC Operator

We took a few days at the local military base to hone our CQB skills, and I believe I can teach basic room clearing tactics using squads of at least 4-5. If anyone wants to learn, I am willing to teach when I'm at TAA soon.

Here is how I was taught.

You have a medic, generally with a shotgun and four riflemen. The medic breaches the door and each riflemen takes a corner. Generally, the first one in goes into the "heavy" side, meaning the side where the most enemies are. The second one goes into the opposite corner of the room to cover him. The third and fourth riflemen each take a remaining corner.

After the room is clear, everyone says "clear" individually. The medic comes in and tends to any wounded if necessary. After the medic is in, the medic says "call it in," and in the order of entry into the room, the riflemen say "'x'-up," where "x" corresponds to the order of entry into the room.

In airsoft, the medic can have a grenade launcher or some sort of grenade to throw in the room since a shotgun may not be as effective.

the rooms in TAA are too small to usually fit 3 ppl let alone 4 riflemen , 1 medic plus wounded. Dont think this idea will work outside of a 2-man team. Even then you're a sitting duck. What you are talking about is great for a standard room breach but these "rooms" just dont allow that. Plus any room entrance at taa can usually be covered from 2 - 3 different directions. TAA is too fast-paced to do things in full military style.

Edit - Had to replace horrible spelling,.....

yea its better off with like a group of three or four, moving up while a team mate covers and "leapfrogging" down hallways and through rooms... plus scince people continually respawn in most games, unless you keep moving they will come back with help to take their room back... blitz creig bonzi charges arent wise in real combat but in a sim cqb game they make for an interesting day

If the medic is breaching the door, how can you tell which side has more enemies on it without first looking? If you were going to look first, why not just use a flashbang or other DD instead of running headlong into gunfire.
